In Lithuania, lawyers, known as "Advokatai," are legal professionals who provide legal advice and representation to clients. They handle various legal matters, including civil law, criminal law, commercial law, and administrative law.

An interesting fact about the legal profession in Lithuania is that it has evolved significantly since the country's independence in 1990. The legal system has been reformed to align with European Union standards and practices.

The main duties of lawyers in Lithuania include advising clients, drafting legal documents, representing clients in court proceedings, and negotiating settlements. They also provide legal opinions, assist with legal transactions, and handle legal disputes.

To become a lawyer in Lithuania, one must complete a law degree at a recognized university and subsequently pass the bar exam. After passing the exam, lawyers are admitted to the Lithuanian Bar Association and can practice law independently.

Lawyers in Lithuania have work opportunities in cities such as Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, and Šiauliai. These cities host law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, and international organizations. Some lawyers also establish their own private practices to serve clients in their local communities.
